Transport for Older People

We have secured some funding from the Primary Care Trust to provide a new service in Irlam and Cadishead for older people over 65, who are feeling a little bit low and who would like the opportunity to get out and about in their local community

We know that increasing pleasurable and social activities such as: going shopping or going to the Drs or visiting, friends, helps to improve mental health and physical well being.

To help make this situation better we plan to do the following things:

We will use our own minibus and will offer a transport service on

Tuesdays and Fridays from

10-00 am – 3.30pm

Transport will be provided to and from home.

Each journey will cost £1.00 in Irlam and Cadishead

If you are interested in taking part in this scheme you will need to complete a registration form

You will also need to book your transport 1 week in advance using the following number 07873357922

We will also produce a leaflet to show what other activities are going on in the area and we will organize four social events within the 7 month period which we would like you to take part in.

The scheme will begin the week beginning the Monday 11th March 2013 and will last for seven months.

Please contact us for a registration form and return it to us to let us know if you would use the service and what else you may want to see provided.
