SylviaSylvia McDowell is now a student at the School Of Social Entrepreneurs /
Northwest

Sylvia was expelled from school at 13 with no formal qualifications but now
has over 25 years of experience working with voluntary / statutory projects
including working in play work, youth work, detached, working as a youth
counsellor with Brook, working at Salford Foyer, information advice and
support and Oakwood High Special needs project, running youth clubs, after
school clubs, residentials and working as a development worker for children and young peoples

projects at Salford CVS.

POSITIVE MOVES CIC aims to enable the community to engage in positive
activities by providing a varied range of educational, social and
recreational activities for children, young people and the community living
in the Irlam and Cadishead area, of Salford. These activities help to divert
those involved away from crime, substance abuse, antisocial behaviour and
social exclusion.
